Hello Webflow Team,
I hope this message finds you well. I am a regular user of your platform, and I find the functionalities you offer both intuitive and innovative, helping me significantly in my work.
However, I have been experiencing some difficulties with the export function. Currently, it operates with a one-click action, which, while user-friendly, unfortunately leads to some complications due to certain reference fields. Because of this, the export function sometimes does not operate as expected, which has the potential to disrupt work progress.
For this reason, I would like to propose a new feature that I believe could mitigate these issues and enhance the user experience significantly. I suggest introducing an option to select custom columns for export. This would allow users to tailor the data exported to their specific needs and thus avoid the problem of unwanted fields being included. Such a feature could save users valuable time and effort, ensuring more effective data management.
I am confident that other users who frequently utilize the export function would also appreciate this additional flexibility. This proposal is not just about improving the functionality of the export tool, but about enabling your users to have more control and customization over their data, which is always a worthy goal in today's data-driven world.
Thank you for considering my proposal. I trust in your continuous efforts to enhance the user experience on your platform and look forward to seeing this feature implemented.
Best regards,
Ömür
Hello again,
Following my previous message, I'd like to add an additional idea to further enhance the suggested feature.
Currently, the platform does indeed offer the functionality to choose which columns we want to view. My proposition here is to extend this feature to also apply to the data we export.
Imagine this: next to the export button, there is a dropdown icon. When clicked, this dropdown menu presents an option like "Export currently visible columns". This way, users who wish to simply execute a one-click export can continue to do so. At the same time, those who wish to obtain a customized output can select their desired columns for a more personalized export.
I would also like to propose that any sorting operations applied to the visible data in the table are respected during the export process which would mean that the exported data truly represents what users see and interact with in the Webflow interface.
This would make the export process even more intuitive and user-friendly, by neatly integrating the option within the existing UI and allowing for quick selection right before the export action.
Once again, thank you for considering my suggestions. I believe these enhancements will significantly improve the user experience and flexibility of data management on your platform.
Best regards,
Ömür
