Would like to be able to add/insert custom HTML inside of blog posts for things like embedded tweets, content upgrades, custom styling, etc.
Not having this is a serious holdback to our blog's performance and interactivity.

I agree! I have a client that wants to embed their Adobe Spark slideshows into a blog post and publish, rather than have me make a new "post" manually and drop embed code for each slide show.
