It would be wonderful to be able to use things like Sass variables for globally-applicable nestable styles that can be set separately from the component styles and overrides. This way you can set up a bunch of pre-made objects and styles like box-shadow height variants, colors swatches that can be used for all areas that use color, establishing a color usage types (primary, secondary, accents, etc.), as well as establishing a programmatic spacing definition (to build based upon a 8px grid).
