Ability to download ZIP files from a Webflow site

I have many clients who would like to have zip file download functionality on their websites for things like employment application packets, brand kits(logo files, brand guides), and press kits.

It seems for now only certain image files, PDFs and Microsoft Office files are allowed to be downloaded from Webflow created websites.

Not having this feature has been a deal breaker from a lot of web design projects that are requested by clients

Admin Note:
At this time assets such as Zip files will need to be hosted externally and linked to from your Webflow site to provide downloads.

Ya know what would be awesome? If a web platform chose to focus on making the very best website builder that exists, constantly adding quality-of-life improvements, instead of breaking into new markets and technologies.

Ironically, I can attach a ZIP file to this comment, but I can't host a ZIP file on my Webflow sites. Your hosting is already expensive, so to have you restrict what can be hosted does not improve your image, Webflow!

We need the ability to have a user download a PDF from a link. Digital downloads WITHOUT e-commerce.

That's a quite common client request, thanks for adding that option.

I've just been doing some research for a new potential client, they would like a client portal where they can upload files for each client in formats .pln, .dwg, .dxf, .nc, .pdf & excel files for each client, and those to be served via a secure member portal.

The inability of webflow CMS to allow upload in zip format and other formats like DWG will prevent me from implementing this project in webflow. Webflow - this also means lost revenue for you. Please add this feature!!!!!!!!!

Shameful, Webflow... I need to provide a package of company logos and other assets to our retail partners. I lobbied hard to move my company's site from Squarespace to Webflow only to find this insane restriction as soon as we go live...

I almost wish there was a "before you switch to Webflow" list somewhere that gives warning on all of Webflow's weirdly missing or disallowed stuff. I've been using Webflow for two years now and I'm constantly coming across weird restrictions and/or things that any reasonable person would expect, but aren't available at all.

As many commented here, it's shocking that this has to be requested in 2023. This is crucial feature for anyone hosting press kits / multi-file brand assets.

    Shocked this still isn't allowed.

It is not possible to upload a simple press kit on the Webflow. How is it something that has to be requested in 2023?

Yet another showstopper issue! My client asked to upload a zip file containing their press kit, and we were both shocked to discover its not possible with Webflow. Having to share the file via a Google Drive link looks super unprofessional. Also, whats with the 4 MB file upload limit? This feature request should be bumped to the top.

What's the status on this? It boggles my mind how this simple feature is not supported. Further more, that someone made the active decision to block most file types in the asset window. Just let us upload whatever we want!

My entire project hinges on this simple feature and I only just found out its not supported. It's clear from this thread the need is being ignored.
