Custom guides, known as grids in design software, is absolutely fundamental. It's so much more difficult to build without this feature, it's like working blind.

What I need it for right now is to know what the min/max widths should be for paragraph text. With a grid I could easily just see the width and adjust it. Without a grid I'm blind. I'm forced to figure out some way to calculate where that grid column should be. It's an unnecessary headache.

This post was from 2017? Are you serious? It's 2024 and they still don't have custom guides. Why?

Framer has this feature. I was convinced to learn Webflow because everyone said it's more powerful and you can do more with it. But, you can even have custom girds.

I am curious to see how people are approaching putting their own grid in Weblfow. I design nice looking stuff in XD with grids, but I can not use the grid in Webflow.

The ability to change the width of the grid overlay - and the max-width of the container widget  - would be a useful improvement. For most websites, 940px is too narrow, so the overlay and container widget are not much use. I know you can create your own container, but it would be nice if the max-width of the container widget could be customized.
