Custom Product Catalog Import/Upload for Webflow Ecommerce

Request 1

Pain Point 1

  • Webflow Ecom Product Catalog Doesn't Support Full Custom Import (i.e. field mapping to custom fields added within product catalog settings in Webflow doesn't work)
This makes it really hard to reasonably use Webflow's Ecom tool to build out product catalog.

Solution To Pain Point 1

  • Apply the same custom field mapping functionality that exists in CMS import, for .csv files imported into the product module of Ecomm Tool.

Request 2

Paint Point 2

  • Webflow Ecom Import doesn't allow you to relate more than 1 product category to a given product.

Solution To Pain Point 2

  • Have the ability to add multiple categories for a product, by using comma delineation in the categories field, then parsing within Webflow to create and apply categories.

I am amazed that this isn't possible to do. I am in the middle of a build of my first ecommerce and now I'm stuck. The whole idea is to have custom fields, as you do on CMS collections. What's the point of talking about csv import for product if you can't do it for custom fields. And this is a dead end since 5 years ago? Wow.

    Hey all,

We created an app to solve Pain Point 1 above.

It has a few features to improve Webflow Ecom product exports/imports:

    • Custom fields supported for bulk export and import

    • Ability to bulk edit existing products

    Check it out at

Let us know if you have any questions:

Caught out by the lack of basic functionality on Webflow (and not for the first time). I'm 1 month into an e-comm website re-design with hundreds of products and foolishly expected request 1 to 'just be there'. That's because it should be!

Come on guys, in almost every respect Webflow is hands down the best solution out there, and everything is just peachy, then WHAM! there it is again, the missing (but absolutely crucial) 1% needed to complete the design.

Sure, as mentioned in other comments, it can be done, but it will take me days instead of a couple of hours max. This means I'm going to have to find the extra time in my schedule and almost certainly swallow the cost myself. Not great!

Couldnt agree more with John. I love the latest design updates but come on, if Webflow doesn't want to lose market share to alternative eCommerce builders like Shopify or WooCommerce, this is a must!

I don't know how this doesn't have more upvotes but this is crucial. For store owners who have hundreds of products with custom fields, it is almost virtually impossible to use Webflow without this feature.

Essential functionality in my view. We must be able to efficiently manage data in and out using import / export routines in order to build stores quickly.
