It would be great to have the BG Video element as an optional field in Collection Settings. There are some cases where it would be better to upload a video to a collection page instead of always linking to Youtube or Vimeo.

YES! This was a roadblock I encountered while working with a video agency. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a good work around for this either.
