Is this the same as https://wishlist.webflow.com/ideas/WEBFLOW-I-2158? I just upvoted that. Should they be merged? Then again, Webflow seems to use merging as a way to forget to implement other features. There should be a PM in charge of user requests and proper merging and ticket management. I'm sure there are growing pains at Webflow, but this seems to be a common problem.
And there's no way to do it easily. Being able to add elements inside the lightbox (like rich text caption field) would do the trick, but it's not possible.
It is ridiculous that this is not yet implemented. I need to be able to connect reach text captions from the CMS because Im about to work an ao art site. No rich text captions inside lightboxes means I have to solve it via WordPress.
This is a small addition that would go a long way. I have a client who needs a multi-image slider with captions under the images but we have no way to do this unless we use custom code to get the alt-text to act as a caption. This is not an ideal solution for SEO. Other option is to have a Gallery collection with Image/Caption fields, but with the limited fields it's a hassle.
Captions are a great way to give people credit. Especially for professionals in the creative field. I was super surprised that this was not a thing yet. Small fix could go a long way!
I'm amazed, truly, at how slow Webflow has been in dealing with organizing, customizing, and presenting IMAGES. Like, they thought: "images aren't important to deal with in websites these days"
Pretty unbelievable that this wasn't built into the release of multi-image lightboxes from the start. Realy important to get this feature to be able to provide context for images and credit for photographers.
Currently when you "get media from a collection" the ability to include captions is lost. Taking the alt text value from the image and using that as the caption would be perfect. Without it, having a gallery of lightbox images is pretty much useless to me.

I can't believe there is no advancement on that. A small feature that every clients ask for. So crucial for Webflow's credibility.
YES this small addition will solve many problems. Why webflow not showing any interest in this ?

Any news on this one?

This would be massively helpful to explain and provide credits of individual images on multi-image lightboxes.
(is there a way of using ALT text as image captions too - and make those show up as usual image captions when the lightbox is active?)
This would really help on on my portfolio website!!
Any news on this ?
