Not sure if this already exists but I can't find how to do it if this feature already exists.
It would be very helpful if files in the assets manager are marked if they are currently in use/active within the site. This would make it easier to filter the files so that "In Use" assets appear first and "unused assets" are last as well as being able to make a quick decision as to which items to remove.
Ahh, I might try this, Select all, delete, publish and then you should be left with only the stuff you are using.
Not sure I am that brave!
Sorry Jacob didn't see your response. And I forgot to click the vote so I have added 3.
The assets need some loving, I constantly replace images and each time I have to add a new one, click the image element, point it to the new image, find the old image and delete it.
There is a wishlist already open for that option.
Can't remember where I wanted to see the ! symbol, but I think it was outside the gear icon.
One funny side note, if you delete a file in use, publish it will re-appear so at least accidental clean up is catered for.
Thank you, MThornton! Yes, it would be very helpful.
For the large image file, it does already show up in the assets manager but you'll need to click the gear icon to see it. However, if you are suggesting to add a pop-up "warning/reminder" that you are about to upload a large file, then I would agree that this would help in case you accidently select an unoptomized image that is too large (I've done this plenty of times as well).
Also show the warning symbol if file is large, sometime I click the wrong file to upload.
And yes I want to know what files are or are not in use.
