If I add images in .avif format, it does not create srcset-s. If I try to add .png, jpg, or .webp images Webflow is creating srcset-s.
Just noticed the same, so it seems like the best bet is to upload jpg/png, then let webflow compress it to webp that gives a srcset. That way you get a (litte less) superior format, but get the benefit of srcset efficiency.
