Nav links can be styled not just for hover states but also the current page which allows us to provide users with an indicator letting them know which page of the site they're on.
When you add a dropdown element to the navbar, this styling is lost on it.
It would be great if we could have the ability to add a dropdown where the toggle can be a link to a page itself and more importantly obey the current page styling, not just to the page the toggle links to, but all the child pages as well.
Thanks for your response but it doesn't already exist.
I know how to style dropdown links.
A parent navigation item can have styling for "current page"
When a nav item has dropdowns links it would be good to keep the "current" page styling on the parent nav item when visiting one of the child pages.
Hey there! Thank you for your suggestion!
You should be able control styling of Dropdown links based on the current page by creating a custom class and applying it to all the nav links including the ones within the Dropdown.
