Webflow should allow users to bind a single CMS item directly to elements on static pages, without requiring a Collection List wrapper. While CMS Collection Pages already support this, static pages currently force users to use a Collection List structure just to pull in a single CMS reference.
Reduces Unnecessary HTML – Eliminates extra <div>
wrappers that add complexity and unnecessary markup.
Aligns with Modern Headless CMS Practices – Other platforms like Sanity.io allow direct single-item binding, making Webflow more competitive.
Introduce a “Single CMS Reference” element that allows designers to select a CMS item and bind its fields (text, images, etc.) directly to page elements.
Similar to multi-reference fields, but for static pages—allowing one-off CMS bindings without a Collection List.
