Allow setting sitewide variables for repetitive values without requiring the page/section to be wrapped in a CMS collection, or the element to be a component. Not only would this reduce the risk of causing a typo, but allows editing all available instances of the variable in a single area.

We just launched a large festival and required a ticketing link to be entered repeatedly many times across many different pages. We mostly achieved this by creating a collection for "Global Defaults" and created a reference in all other collections, and wrapped everything where required for static pages, I just believe we could reduce a large amount of friction by enabling a site-wide selection of variables that can be utilised without this workaround
