Currently I am stuck. I cannot use the ecommerce plan because of the requirement for a customers billing address at checkout, and I cannot use the CMS plan without coding that I don't know how to do, because I cannot add multiple items to an enquiry form (like you would add items to a cart and have them pop up in an order) for customers to indicate they would like to enquire on.
Currently I either have to:
Collect form data in the CMS plan on each individual item enquired on; not great for my users and big turn off for them (whose got the time). Plus I get lots of notifications from one users session, when they could be bundeled into one.
Or
In the ecommerce plan request an unnecessary billing address for items that are not charged at checkout because their pricing is dependent on other things happening outside of the website. i.e using ecommerce structure for personalised quoting or where a final price can't be determined because an item may need customisation (not product options) or pricing is to be negotiated.
The capacity to cart items in the CMS plan without payment would be phenomenal.
Items would go into a form (checkout situation without transaction capacity) that could be fully styled and additional form fields added. No need to connect to an unnecessary payment provider or collect unnecessary data, when it is not needed for a business structure.
But I have noticed removing the billing address in the ecommerce plan comes up a lot for your customers in the forum who are using it to provide free items, or for quoting etc.
Cheers.
