Dashboard - Create Folders For Sites

I think all of us here get frustrated with the dashboard. Once we have 20+ sites in there, things seem to get out of hand. Even the most simple of management tools would be life changing.

1 Feature - Create & Name Folders to store sites in.

An Example from my routine.

  • Folder 1 - Live Client Sties
  • Folder 2 - Live Personal Sites
  • Folder 3 - Client Sites In Progress
  • Folder 4 - Personal Sites in Progress
  • Folder 5 - Experimental Folder
  • Folder 6 - Template Folder (team)

Currently the dashboard is just a mess when these kinds of sites are mixed up all over the place.

2/10/17 Update: Hello. We are researching on how to improve the way you organize your projects/website on our dashboard. Please help us with a quick survey here: https://webflow.typeform.com/to/flro8s

@uzzer & @Andrew Reany Webflow employee here. Our intention is to just better understand the use cases for creating folders for projects. We do not plan to control more than we have to :D

I've got to agree with Uzzer here. There is no standard, as we use webflow in all kinds of ways. Please allow us to choose our own structure.

I filled out the survey and I do not like how it implies that Webflow is going to try to organize folders for us. This is impossible and even an approximation to the "average" preference makes no sense. It actually reminds me of Windows' My Documents folders... Just let us make folders and we will decide how to name them, doesn't that suffice?

Much needed my dashboard is really messy! I also have legacy projects taking up space.

Maybe instead of folders we can get filterable/searchable tags? I think it solves the problem but in a more flexible way.

Currently, I append the client to the front of this so I can use the search bar at the top to organize and quickly locate certain projects. I would absolutely love the ability to structure these via folder most definitely.

This also helps when creating options for clients to review. Organizing under client helps keep the workflow more organized.

Yes, I'd like this too. Somtimes it's very hard to find projects in the dashboard.
