Enabling the use of multiple page templates for each collection has been on my mind recently.
My current conceptualization of the CMS is as follows: When a collection is created, it generates a template (collection page). This template is then associated with a specific URL string. In cases where the collection is intended for internal use, the generated template remains empty and appears in the template list.
If we could produce template pages independently of collections, it would empower us to design layouts applicable to various industries and seamlessly switch designs for different clients. Additionally, it would provide the flexibility to create distinct sub-pages within a collection. This functionality is reminiscent of how Modx operates, and I believe it would be beneficial for more extensive websites.
In the process of creating a page within a collection, I envision the primary option being the selection of a template. Once a template is chosen, the form fields configured for that template would become visible.
I hope this explanation is clear; it's well-defined in my thoughts but challenging to articulate in writing.
