Images and videos within rich text blocks:

• have very poor styling features : size, position, responsiveness

• videos within rich text blocks cannot be indexed by Google and generate recurring issues on the search console.

Rich text blocks are very rudimentary and should be conceived as drag and drop blocks wherein you can add individual components such as text, images, videos, sliders, galleries. Like building a newsletter on Mailchimp.

To have a nice and search-optimized collection item, you currently have to divide you rich text content into various blocks (rich text, video etc) and position them on the page : archaic.

This is a major need : design easily and combine elements within a block. We believe this would not be too difficult for Webflow to improve.
