The default navbar only comes with simple link items (no dropdowns), and doesn't work with fixed position on mobile (when using more than just a couple pages).
So when I make a website for a client that has a more complicated sitemap, I end up needing to use dropdowns in the navbar to accommodate all of their pages. Sometimes even a 2nd or 3rd tier dropdown is required. I have come up with a pretty complicated hack for this that I use, but it would be great if the default navbar element had some of this more advanced functionality.
Part 2 of this has to do with using a fixed position for the navbar. Almost all of my clients are requesting this now. If I use the default navbar with a fixed position at the top of the page, it works great for simple sitemaps with only a couple of pages. When the sitemap has a lot of pages, the mobile menu will at times extend past the height of the screen, with no way to scroll down to see the rest of the menu items. Again, this is fixable with a complicated hack using another div wrapper for nav items inside of the nav menu. Would be much cleaner and more ideal if the navbar could accommodate more complicated sitemaps by default.
