Ability for Background Images to be Editable Component Properties

In current Webflow workflows, managing background images within components requires significant manual adjustment to ensure proper fit and fill within containers. This process becomes cumbersome when creating variations of components, hindering reuse and making updates more complex for editors and clients.

By allowing background images to be set and adjusted directly within component properties, designers can easily customize backgrounds to fit and fill containers without the need for extensive manual adjustment having to force image elements to fill their container - which doesn't always work or go smoothly.

Enabling background images as editable component properties would significantly enhance the efficiency and usability of Webflow, benefiting designers, clients, and editors alike.

This is a very important feature and must be developed as soon as possible.

It is a hassel to make efficient images for components editable for clients, so that is high on our wish list

Yes please, that would make projects with clients a lot easier and be more comfortable for them to edit elements.
