Ability to create insert a table in the Rich Text Editor
I need it for product pages on an e-commerce site I've built. I want to build a simple table where I can list different product variants and their features.
The idea is that there would be a table button in the same pop up as the image, video, embedly, and lists. You could click this and the a table would appear - and the user would be able to add and remove rows and columns. And maybe assign a header row.
The table in the rich text block would be able to be styled just like headings, blockquotes, etc.
I guess this would require a table element for Webflow also.
Currently, inserting a table into a page can be achieved with the CMS using divs but it's incredibly cumbersome and inefficient using many CMS fields and referencing. Also, divs don't work nearly as well as tables for this purpose - one can let the width of a table cell adjust automatically and all the cells in that column will auto adjust to that size whereas with divs, one needs to set the width otherwise none of the "columns" of this "div table" will align.
it's crazy that we can not insert <table> tags or any HTML for that matter. I do a lot of blog posts that compare A/B campaigns. Without the ability to display items side by side, I can not really use webflow for may blogging.
Cannot be avoided, this is a must have
I'm obsessed with Webflow. We migrated our company website (praetorian.com) to Webflow during a redesign two years ago. Not having table support, code syntax highlighting, or the ability to insert custom code embeds within a blog post's body content is the only reason I haven't migrated our company's blog. Huge pain point.
Any progress here? I vote for tables as well.
it would be really useful, I'm doing it with a HTML embed element
Can someone from Webflow provide an update on this feature request. I also am desperate for the ability to insert tables within Rich Text objects within collections.
Maybe this idea, and this idea should be rolled up into the table support feature request?
Wow... just realized i can't have tables in my blog articles. Important feature indeed!
Critical feature for articles! I was so surprised to find I couldn't add a basic table to my rich text element considering the other possible additions.
Trying to use Webflow for our documentation and help center. We need simple tables within the "article body" i.e. a rich text field. So many use-cases with documentation!
@JacobHarmon – That's not even possible within Collections. Tables are really needed within articles.
YES! or a table Element. Either way, currently the only way to make a table is embed HTML and add table CSS to the Custom Code in settings.
yes I agree: it will be very usefull for product pages
