Hi,
For CMS and Business hosting accounts it would be great to have the ability for subdomains of your custom main domain to be pointed to a specific Collection. Only Pages/Records within that Collection or below it are viewed when the subdomain is accessed. The main domain accesses site and all collections as normal.
e.g. custom domain is customdomain.com
custom subdomain is catalog.customdomain.com - this should point to current Collection URL Slug "customdomain.com/catalog/homepage "(this can't be edited once collection has been created) and have an additional custom subdomain url slug field which allows the following URL to be used "catalog.customdomain.com" (this subdomain points to the homepage page of Catalog Collection and the subdomain url slug could be edited/changed if necessary to match DNS settings : A Record which point webflow IP Address and CNAME Record to proxy.webflow.com
Each collection could then potentially become it's own unique custom subdomain
I hope I have explained it ok.
Do give it another chance:
Think about the following: You have a site witch multiple language pages. Its domain is mydomain.com
To reach for example guys from Sweden you give them the domain mydomain.se. This will lead them to mydomain.com/se/
Same witch events (for example). You have a site called greatestevents.com and you like promote a special event. The domain specialevent.com will lead people to greatestevents.com/events/specialevent
This is theoretically possible but why would you want to host the site's content on a subdomain? It's worse for SEO. https://moz.com/community/q/moz-s-official-stance-on-subdomain-vs-subfolder-does-it-need-updating
In general it would be great if there would be an option pointing domains (at hosting tab) to specific pages
