Provide option to fulfill order for non-shipping products (curb side pick up)

I have a retail store and we are doing ecommerce orders for curb side pickups.

There's no way to send an email to let the customer know their order is

  1. Ready for Pickup

  2. Item has been picked up

I have to manually find the customer's email in the order, copy and paste it in an email, and manually send them a message.

There needs to be a way to automatically email the customer that it's ready for pickup and that the order has been fulfilled (when it's a shipping not required order).
