Annual billing cycle for Client Billing

I would like to have a way implemented to, when setting up my client billing information, give them the ability to pay for the entire year upfront instead of just choosing a package based on monthly only. :)

Cheers!

It's live! Now you can charge clients directly for annual site plan subscriptions — and tack on extra to cover retainer fees, ongoing work, and more. Read more in our update.

Good idea, a lot of clients here use their private credticard, and don't want to use it every month, but only once a year...

Yes please implement this. We have Australian dollar which will make this a different monthly billing amount each month. Much simpler for client bookkeeping if they have to tackle this only once per year. Also it is nice to offer them a discount for paying yearly.

I concur, my request for the Webflow UX team is:

I need to be able to charge my client for hosting on a yearly basis and I need the charge to be consistent to what's advertised as CMS hosting on the plans page at $16/mo, not $20 + an additional platform fee since I don't do ongoing maintenance.

    Thanks!

Detrimental features like these need to be implemented. It makes Webflow seem unfinished and not polished to the client.

This feature would be most helpful when trying to pull a client away from another service. The competition offers a yearly option, (and so does Webflow, technically) so why not add that. Webflow gets their money upfront, designers get their money upfront, clients don't have to bother with monthly payments. Everyone wins.

This is really frustrating guys. I love Webflow but these little things and the way you handle them isn't good. That feature has been requested by a community in February. This is not some fancy feature this is a basic feature that should be part of Webflow. You offer annual plans with discount 20% and you claim in your marketing that we can set up client billing from Webflow directly. Either implement the feature or make it transparent/obvious that client billing is only for monthly plans! Your lack of transparency is putting us designers in a bad light, why do I have to find out that I can't bill client annually after I've promised client billing through Webflow and price based on your annual plan offer?

I just found out the hard way that I cannot bill my client annually using 'Client Billing'.

What makes this newfound information frustrating is that I already started a web design project after telling my client that the project budget includes 1 year of hosting...

Now I have to figure out how to hold up my end of the agreement since annual billing is not available right now.

I hope the Dev Team there at Webflow gets this on their 'In Development' list ASAP.

@webflow any update on this? This is such a pain in the but, yet so small change that it should have been implemented from launch...Also, the voting doesn't make much sense something like this will never get the attention and thousands of votes like IX2 etc. but should not be ignored never the less.

This is an absolute no-brainer. Please implement this as soon as possible to avoid me having to transfer a project to a new account just to receive the $16 a month CMS hosting billed annually.

Just had a client request this. Sterling is taking a hammering at the moment.

OMG!  I just signed up my first ever client on Webflow and was looking into the billing to realise that he can't have the yearly discount.  Nooooooo!  I have 2 months to get this sorted and have to start his billing.  What are the chances of getting this fixed by then?

Agreed. Seems like a simple option

Just want to reiterate other comments. Many of my clients would highly prefer annual billing and a couple have requested to export the site designs to another platform for hosting if annual isn't an option.

    @webflow PLEASE implement this ASAP.

For everyone else, there's a short term solution here in the meantime which is pretty simple. Just charge the client upfront via stripe / PayPal / cash / / cheque Bitcoin / shiny pebbles.. However you usually get paid, then pay for the annual hosting yourself (not client billing). It's pretty simple.

But I do agree, this needs to be stock inside webflow client billing. This is not congruent to what is advertised on the hosting landing page that most clients end up looking into and seeing that the price is different. Fix this ASAP

    +3 upvoted.

The difference between monthly vs annual $ for the same service is enough of a $ difference.

CMS Hosting: $16/ month (if paid annually) vs. $20/monthly (default for Client Billing).

This would be a very helpful feature, especially as Sterling against US Dollar changes frequently.

This has also been advertised as a feature coming soon, do you have any update on this?

    Thanks!

Yes, please. Now I have to pay for the hosting myself and send out an invoice every year by hand. This will get frustrating when I get more clients. Just automate it so I don't have to :)

Im considering to shift my web design business onto webflow, Im doing some research first and I read this!! Can not offer yearly pricing plans to clients!! And it has been on the wish list for over a year!! Hmmmm not sure if this is such a good idea after all. That is damn poor form, the designers and the ones driving webflow are the ones suffering here.

Hi, this is worrying for me, is it then possible for me, the designer, to bill my clients then I pay for the Webflow hosting, myself from my bank account? Annually? Monthly? What is possible and not possible, this is a worry, please inform me.

    Thank you.
