Advanced Keyboard Shortcuts

Webflow should  define a complete list of advanced keyboard shortcuts, for almost every aspect of Designer:

  • Publishing sites
  • Adding elements (Divs, links, etc.)
  • Jumping to various panels/sections (Specific sections of the style panel, component settings, etc.)

I use Vimium the chrome plugin. This allows me to browse the web by pressing f and seeing all the 'clickable' items on that page by highlighting them on the screen, each with their own temporary shortcut. You then click that shortcut (usually a combination of asdfjkl; characters like 'FS' or 'KS') and it selects/clicks that item.

Once a full/extended keyboard shortcut solution is implemented with Webflow, I feel like it might make sense to explore this as a feature.

For me, although it might sound pathetic, taking my hand off the keyboard every 10 seconds for hours on end can actually be really annoying. I'd love to feel connected to Webflow interface via only keyboard commands - I feel like that really helps flow state with one's work.

Add up/down arrow keys to navigate the page/asset/cms panels. Short cut to open panels is useless if you then have to mouse around the panel to get anything done ;-)

To add the first comment above - a keyboard shortcut to save any open section / dialogue box- i.e. html embed, page settings, cms field, cms collection, cms item, etc.

suggested keyboard shortcut: ctrl + shift + s

"Best short cut would be to add class to selected item - alt + shift + a"

I agree. This is the major one.

It would also be able to select the search bar in the dashboard by pressing ? - then you could type to find the project you're looking for and move through projects with the arrow keys

Also, a shortcut key to save a new CMS entry - i.e. ctrl + shift + s or something like that.
