When you try to make a link in Webflow you have to option to link to:
How do you link to a specific collection entry without copying and pasting the link after finding it on the live site?
What if I want to link to a particular blog post from a page on my site? I have to find that post on the front-end of the site then copy the URL and paste it into the field for my link?
Maybe I'm missing something but shouldn't there be a pulldown list for collection entries so it's easy to link to them?
This is painful for us to manage our site, which has only been exacerbated with the localisation. We have 3 locales and now we have to manually update EVERY, SINGLE, LINK copying and pasting from the live site, its making keeping on top of our SEO a complete nightmare.
How is still open? It's so necessary, as a client of mine cross-links their articles A LOT, and it would be a pain having to replace them if something would change.
Over 6 years ... This should be standard functionality. Why do I need to create a static reference to supposedly "dynamic" content in my Blog? When URLs change (which they invariably do), I will need to search and find all of these static links and update them by hand. C'mon team.
Importing a site with a lot of inline text links to specific CMS items, and it's worrisome to have to copy and paste in a static URL. It would be great if an inline word in a Rich Text field could be dynamically linked to a specific CMS item.
Another very basic oversight when it comes to the Webflow CMS. Unfortunately the platform is littered with frustrating little limitations like this, which push users towards dysfunctional workflows with messy workarounds.
Please for the love of GAWD, make this happen!
FIX THIS!!!!
Hey guys, hasn't this been implemented? I somehow missed it at first and came here when searching for answers, but then I noticed the second option for a link is "collection page."
Must be thanks for the amazing post here it is the very nice remember password edge all function here to secure data base.
^ Please ignore my above comment - I've worked it out
I'm shocked that this is on a wishlist. I assumed that it would be standard functionality
This facility really should have been added by now. I'm disappointed to see it hasn't
This is so stupid how is this not sorted!!
Yeah, similar to link-to-page options Sergie! Would be perfect! Good idea Sean!
FWIW I worked around this by creating a collection list with a link bound to the target collection, and set a filter to something unique about the collection I wanted to target (e.g. the name!)
Hope this helps anyone else having the same problem...
So similar to the link-to-page options that are available when setting a link in a rich text?
