You can now use custom code in rich text elements! This new ability should help you (or any editors) maximize long-form content by enriching it with third-party embeds, HTML, CSS or even Javascript. Learn more about the new release.

Great idea for CMS collections. Either that or the ability to add a custom code block when designing a collection?

This would be a great feature specifically to be able to embed code into specific blog posts in the CMS. Often times for businesses running a blog or bloggers, they need to be able to add opt in forms and content upgrades that are specific to one post. We could definitely use this to build better products for our clients.

This would a super important feature for the CMS function. It's outdated not to be able to embed Instagram posts, picture gallerys or other small HTML-features like tables or anchors to navigate through an article for example. We are in desperate need of this stuff. So please make an html editor as an addition to the WYSIWYG-editor happen.

I build my blog in webflow and this is an essential part of blogging and SEO! I really need this embed function or I have to go back to Wordpress again, which I really would not enjoy.

Are there any news? Is it coming soon?

Any webflow staff care to comment ?

and @Cameron - I like your code editor idea as well, I use code pen frequently. But this idea here is about the rich text editor, adding custom html to the RTF, now the UI of the editor.

I'm obsessed with Webflow. We migrated our company website ( to Webflow during a redesign two years ago. Not having table support, code syntax highlighting, or the ability to insert custom code embeds within a blog post's body content is the only reason I haven't migrated our company's blog. Huge pain point.

    Hey webflow team,

it is almost 1.5 years since this wish was opened and it is still in the backlog. Can you please give us an update? This feature is an absolute novelty for many bloggers when choosing their blog system and a standard in any other system. Currently, there is no alternative or possibility to use a third-party solution for this. So please don't let us stand in the rain and Webflow brings the added value that is highly relevant for many bloggers.

    Thanks a lot!
